Murphy’s Giving Market is grateful for the generous donation from the W. W. Smith Charitable Trust that we will use to purchase culturally appropriate foods for the diverse community that visits the market.
The W. W. Smith Charitable Trust is a private foundation established by William Wikoff Smith in 1977 to make grants in the Greater Philadelphia region to support basic needs, higher education scholarships, maritime education, and medical research primarily for Heart Disease, Cancer and AIDS.
Murphy’s Giving Market is a free market that serves people of the many ethnic, cultural, and faith backgrounds that make Upper Darby one the most diverse in Pennsylvania. The market is run almost entirely by volunteers from the community.
